2023 Ticketing Information Now Available

The Birdsville Races, with its first meeting held way back in 1882, will be celebrating its 141st anniversary in September 2023. The event promises to be an exciting and unforgettable experience as it combines the fanfare and thrill of a typical race meet with the dramatic and dusty desert landscape. With a staggering $260,000 prize money on offer, the racing is serious business, and trainers and jockeys from all over the country will be competing to win the famous TAB Birdsville Cup.

Over a 13-race program on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd September, racegoers can witness top-class racing in the heart of Australia’s outback. The carnival attracts over 6000 attendees each year who enjoy two days of quality outback racing and three great nights of live entertainment. Apart from the races, the event also includes the RFDS Gala, RFDS Fun Run, Fashions on the Field, Fred Brophy’s Boxing Troupe, live entertainment at the Birdsville Hotel, a variety of food vendors, a giant auction, and much more.
